Beckford Barn Dance NEW

The Vale of Evesham Round Table and the Beckford Nature Reserve will be holding a Barn Dance on 18th September from 8.00 pm till midnight. It will take place in the Barn at Court Farm.

To accompany the dancing, there will be a live band, a pig roast with baps and salad, a prize draw and an additional prize for the best dressed hillbilly.

This event is to raise money for the new disabled hide to be installed in the Nature Reserve. When completed, the hide will be dedicated to the memory of Rupert Ellis who was closely involved in the Nature Reserve at the time when the residents of Beckford bought the site from Huntsman's Quarries.

Entrance by ticket only, which are available at Beckford Stores or from David Brodie (Tel: 08707 601383).

Attention all young people NEW

Beckford Community Council will be holding a meeting on September 17th at 7pm in the Village Hall for parents and children of the Village.

The purpose of the meeting will be to see if there is any interest in setting up a Children’s Council. The ideas that are put forward could see the formation of a network of activities that will benefit all young people.

As the Village is fortunate enough to have a Village Hall and playing field, a Social Club, nature reserve and Church it makes sense to utilise our assets and talents for the benefit of the Community as a whole.

Volunteers will be needed to help with activities and the Community Council and the Parish Council will do all it can to facilitate this scheme going forward.
