Weather

Beckford has its' own weather station, located at 3 Beckford Close. All data from this station are uploaded every twenty minutes during the working day. A summary of the weather over the past year is also displayed.

The data is also uploaded to two international weather monitoring websites. If you follow the link to wunderground.com here or on our weather page you can view historical data for Beckford (up to one year ago).

Winter Blues

To help keep you smiling during the dark winter days, take a look at two video clips from the recent Old Time Music Hall held last year in aid of the Beckford Nature Reserve. We have two amateur clips from the show - the first one of the 'Light House Sketch' and the second a general 'sing song' in the old style tradition. The clips were taken by Steve, one of Janie Ross's team, who organised the show for the Village.

Minibus Appeal

The current minibus is in need of replacement.
You may not yourself use the minibus, but some of the elderly and those with no transport of their own rely on the regular shopping trips.

The new look website

As you can see, our website is being given a new look. We are changing not only the look of each page, but also the way the site is structured - this should make it easier get to your desired page quickly. We have arranged for sub-websites to exist, making it easy for local community groups to have their own website. For example, Beckford Nature Reserve has its own website at

http://www.beckford-village.org/nature.

You will also notice the search button at the top of each page - you simply need to type in your word to search the site in the small box and either hit 'return' or click the green magnifying glass and the results of your search will appear in the same window. If you just click the green magnifying glass without entering any search keywords you will be taken to the slightly more advanced search page, which also doubles as the search results page.

The button will take you to the relevant page and by clicking on the icon you will be taken to a page with more information about the item.
