Road Closures NEW
The road between Beckford and Kemerton will be close from 2nd to 8th August 2010 for highway maintenance. Please look at the Parish Council notice board by the Village Stores. Click here for a list and brief details.
News from Parish Council NEW
Following the Parish Council meeting on 14th July 2010, the Parish Council have officially withdrawn all "financial and status" support for this website, even though since October 2009 they have been providing neither - in fact their support for this website has been very negative over the past year.
We have therefore removed the Parish Council page from this website and have provided instead (in the local information menu item) a link to the now 'official' Parish Council website on the Wychavon hub.
This will give the Parish Council the opportunity to keep their documents more up-to-date than relying on the beckford-village.org webmaster to request the documents. This is a great pity, as the residents of Beckford will miss out on the following...
We will however, whenever possible, continue to publish the Parish Council Notes that will be provided by any of the public who attend the Parish Council meetings and who wish to contribute. The Parish Council Notes will become a permanent feature on this home page (see left). You will be able to send in your comments for inclusion in the notes using the 'Have Your Say' page on this website.

New link in early history
While browsing the internet, I came across an interesting website which gives details of the history of 'The Beckford Priory and Church'. I am sure many of you will have already seen the website, but for anyone who hasn't, it is well worth a read. Go to the early history page and follow the link at the bottom of the page.
Housing plans for Beckford

The latest 'Wychavon' magazine, which dropped through our letter boxes recently has more information on the page 23. Also, there is more information on the South Worcestershire Joint Core Strategy website.
